Review: Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Plumping Treatment in Clear

I'm a mint person and if you are too I'm sure you'll love this lip gloss.  It does feel tingly for a bit --as the packaging states, and my lips do look fuller somehow o_0
Most of you use lip gloss on top of your lipstick.  But I use this differently :)  I apply lip balm, then this (let it set for a while), then lipstick.  It helps my lips stay moisturized and it makes even the most drying lipstick usable.
This also serves as a treatment.  It seems to smoothen my lips even if it was chapped to begin with.
If you really like a glossy effect, you'll like this coz it lools like glass and youy lips will look very smooth (pang-artista effect >_<).  I tried it but glossy lips doesn't really suite me LOL.

Product info from the pacakging:
- Refreshingly tingly gloss instantly inflates lips.
- Ginger and Cinnamon help stimulate and plump lips.
- Peppermint provides lips with a cooling and stimulating sensation.
- Lips become flushed and plump instantly for a sexy, pouty look that lasts.
- Guaranteed Visible Results.
- Dermatologist Tested.

Special Ingredients: Ginger and Cinnamon stimulate lips. Peppermint provides a cooling sensation.

Tips:
If you'll use it on top of a lipstick, use a different applicator so it won't mix with the it (silly me I used it for the first time and ended up mixing the color with it LOL)

Pros:
- not sticky
- smooth out the lines on you lips
- no weird small nor taste
- inexpensive, bought it on eBay at P85.50

Cons:
- very slight plumping effect
- effect doesn't last long
- i dont like the packaging
- not available locally

Will i re-purchase?
Definitely! :)

Review: Milani Powder Mosaics in Sunset Spice (#06)

Well silly me for trying a bronzer :S
I have fair skin and didn't realize how difficult it is to use a bronzer.  Takes much expertise in using it.  I tried this since it is a mosaic type and my friend told me it's nice to use such because you can blend the colors and will look really nice.
Unfortunately, it looks really muddy on me (or im just probably not good in blending hehehe).  The effect looks like I have sun burn :(

Oh well, I probably should watch more tuturials on how to apply bronzers o_0

Pros:
- very pigmented and probably lasts long
- compact is pressed firmly and doesn't turn into loose powder

Cons:
- does not blend well
- unflattering
- not available locally, bought it on eBay

Will I re-purchase?
No (period)

Review: Ianti Luxe Jewelry Blusher in Juicy Peach (#03)

Before I got the Ianti lipstick, I tried their blush on and I was pretty satisfied with it (so I tried their other products).  It has a nice matte finish which looks really natural and lasts about 4-5 hours.  Good thing it didn't have the weird smell o_0

Pros:
- matte finish
- lasts about 4-5 hours
- inexpensive, P160+

Cons:
- it's in a twist-open jar (better if it's in an easy-open packaging)

Will i re-purchase?
Yup :)

Swatch: Ianti Lipstick in 24

Since I started having interests in cosmetics, I opted getting Korean products for my skin.  Since The Face Shop is quite expensive, I tried Etude House (which I really love, will post my Etude Haul soon).  But then, when I was still in search of the shade that suites me (notice was hehehe), I saw this brand, Ianti, in Landmark Trinoma.
It has several shades, well, good thing i just tried one.  It was on sale then and I got it for P266.
Well what can I say, unfortunately I hate it.  The shade I bought was orange (it's more on nude-orange shade).  The color was ok sana but it really smells horrible.  I missed smelling the stick and swatch when i tried it on my hand.  Anyway, lesson learned, you should really smell lipsticks before buying.

Pros:
- glides easily
- good pigmentation
- nice and simple packaging

Cons:
- smells and tastes like lipstick
- feels dry without lip balm

Will i re-purchase?
Hell no!

Swatch: The Face Shop Lovely Me: Ex Lip Tint in Wine

When I was still searching for a natural lip color, I decided to try lip tints.  I love Face Shop products, but this is the first lip product I tried.  I'm quite disappointed because it didn't give the natural effect I was looking for.  And i dont like the taste especially when it sets.

 upon application

 it dried na

after blending

Pros:
- can be used as blush and lip color
- long lasting
- does not cause dryness or chapping
- feels light

Cons:
- i hate the bitter taste
- quite expensive for a tint, P400+

Will i re-purchase?
Nope

Swatch: Etude House Color Me Nude Lip Concealer

I'm not into nude shade but I bought this to, well, conceal my not-so-smooth lips LOL
It's a bit difficult to use at first since you have to make sure that you've exfoliated your lips before applying (you dont want skin to appear right?).
I tried several ways to apply it, and guess what the trick was...dont swipe it! hehehe
You just need to dab it until it blends to your lips.  By doing so, it will look natural :)
It has good coverage and helps reduce those vertical lines on your lips.

Pros:
- creamy and matte
- very good coverage
- does not cause dryness or chapping
- easy to blend
- no weird taste and smell
- helps make lipsticks last long when used as base
- brings out the true shade of the lipstick
- inexpensive, P228
- simple but cute packaging

Cons:
- can accentuate chapped lips if not used properly
- flakes sometimes

Will i re-purchase?
Yup. And i would recommend it as well ;)

Review: ELF Brightening Eyeshadow Quad in Silver Lining

This is the first ELF product I purchased.  It is unexpensive and good enough for the price.  Although it is not that pigmented and I like it coz it's not shimmery (the lavander is shimmery at first but after blending, it's nice and semi-matte).  It is wearable and blends well for me.
It is not so pigmented but lasts for a good 4-5 hours.  Some say putting an eye primer will make it last longer and makes the color more intense  (i haven't tried that yet)

Pros:
- inexpensive, it's only P120.00
- available locally
- soft, smooth and blends well
- average lasting power
- not glittery

Cons:
- low pigmentation
- not so cute packaging

Will i re-purchase?
I'm planning to try other shades.

OMG! I'm loving Aido Classic lipsticks!  I found the pink that I like :)
I'm so glad I got this.  I think i'm gonna stop getting new lippies for now hehehe but i still have a lot of make-ups to post :">
[photos to follow]

Pros:
- very cheap, only P50
- available locally
- glides easily
- doesn't dry your lips
- good pigmentation
- long lasting power
- no weird smell & taste

Cons:
- can sometimes accentuate chapped lips
- poor packaging (well what do you expect in a P50 peso lipstick?)
- no fancy shade names, just letters

Will i re-purchase?
Yup yup yup! :)

Swatch: Aido Regular Lipstick in #11

I also purchased this along with Aido's Classic lippie.  Guess what, this is even cheaper!
But I'm really impressed because it is very pigmented, no annoying smell and it's tasteless.
This has a brick-red orangey shade.  And leaves a nice tint as well that makes my lips look naturally orange (huh?! lol)  I dont actually know how to describe my lip color, but now i realized orange suites me well >_<
I've been trying pink lipsticks but it really make my lips look purple and i hate it :(

no flash

Pros:
- very cheap, only P25
- available locally
- glides easily
- doesn't dry your lips
- good pigmantation
- long lasting power
- no weird smell and taste

Cons:
- very poor packaging (it's 25 bucks! o_0)
- no fancy shade names, just numbers

Will i re-purchase?
Not right now since I love Aido Classic more but glad i tried it though, it's very good for a cheap lipstick :)

Swatch: Aido Classic Lipstick in H

Suprisingly, i'm loving Aido's orange lipstick (shade H).  It has a red-orange color but it's not too red and the orange blends well with my natural lip color (although until now i dont know my undertone hehehe)
It is very pigmented and has average lasting power.  Although it tends to get a bit dry so dont forget to apply lip balm.
When it fades, the color somehow serves as a tint and i love how it blends on my lips, makes them look very young :)

Pros:
- very cheap, only P50
- available locally
- glides easily
- doesn't dry your lips
- good pigmentation
- long lasting power
- no weird smell & taste

Cons:
- can accentuate chapped lips
- poor packaging (well what do you expect in a P50 peso lipstick?)
- no fancy shade names, just letters

Will i re-purchase?
Yup.  I think i found the orange that i'm looking for :)
Glad i tried it, very good for a cheap lipstick :)

Swatch: Etude House Look At My Lips in #9

This is my most expensive lipstick so far.  i'm not into branded products yet since i'm still searching for the perfect tangerine/orange, coral and pink lippies.
I'm quite disappointed with it because it's too light and it's more on the nude-orange side :(  I was actually looking for a brighter orange, i guess i should have bought the Miss Tangerine line.
The color is actually nice when it sets and creamy, but i noticed it creates flakes and makes the dry skin on my lips show up.

Pros:
- subtle orange smell and tastes good
- average price, P328.00
- cute packaging
- available locally
- average lasting power

Cons:
- flaky
- feels a bit dry without lip balm
- can accentuate chapped lips
- low pigmentation

Will i re-purchase?
Not right now, but i'll give it another shot and try a different shade

Swatch: CoverGirl Continuous Color Lipstick in Bronzed Peach

I'm not into frosted, metallic lipsticks.  This is one of my didn't-google-before-buying lipsticks.
I kinda regret it coz it's metallic and it doesn't look good on me o_0
Nevertheless, lesson learned >_<

Pros:
- good pigmentation
- no weird smell
- inexpensive
- feels light ang glides smoothly

Cons:
- frosted typed and i hate it
- simple packaging
- dries the lips

Will i re-purchase?
Nope.  i dont like frosted lippies.

Swatch: Cover Girl Trueshine Lipstick in Petal Shine

When i bought this i was still an amateur in lipstick searchin'.  So i didn't thought of checking reviews first o_0
But my trial-and-error stage did helped me identify the type of lipstick that would suite my complexion and natural lip color.
This has a very light nude color. It is glossy and leaves my lips moisturized.

Pros:
- Applies smoothly
- no lipstick smell
- doesn't dry your lips
- inexpensive

Cons:
- doesn't last long
- low pigmentation
- not so cute packaging  >_<

Will i re-purchase?
Not the same line i guess.  I'd probably try a different type since i'm not into light colored lippies.

Swatch: Sally Hansen Lip Collagen in HInt of Nude

This is more of a treatment for chapped lips.  The formula has a greasy feel if you put too much and would make your lipstick creamy of you apply after it.
It has a soft nude color and acts like a lip balm as well.

Pros:
- Applies smoothly
- inexpensive, bought it on ebay for only P100+ (i forgot the exact price)
- treats dry, chapped lips

Cons:
- smells like lipstick  >_<
- not available locally
- a bit greasy

Will i re-purchase?
Nope.  I prefer Vaselline Lip Therapy for treating my lips

Swatch: Prestige Lipstick in Petulant Rose

Finally i get to post my reviews on my old lipsticks LOL
Was uber busy and tired the past few weeks and i could no longer get up to do my online thingy after putting the kids to sleep o_0
Where do i begin now?  Let's start from my purchases when i wasn't into lippies yet :)

Prestige in Petulant Rose

It has a soft matte pink color and creamy texture.  The color swatch at the bottom of the tube is accurate and matches the color of the lipstick.
I dont really know how to describe undertones but i dont like this much because it makes my lips look purplish.

top: one glide
bottom: two glides
no flash

top: one glide
bottom: two glides
with flash

Pros:
- Applies smoothly
- inexpensive, bought it on ebay for only P95
- doesn't dry your lips
- good pigmentation
- average lasting power

Cons:
- can accentuate dryness
- not available locally

Will i re-purchase?

Look at my Lips...

Just bought a new lippie!  Hope this won't fail me coz last week I bought an Ianti #23 and I sooooo regret it :(
I am currently in search for a tangerine lipstick (and pink hehe), hopefully this will end my lipstick madness and stay with this brand and shade.
I'll do my comments and swatch some other day since I'm so sleepy na :S
Before I forget, I'm talking about Look at My Lips in #09 by Etude House.

I'll try it tomorrow :)
g'night!

Swatch: Nichido Lipstick in Rose Shimmer

This is the first ever lipstick that I purchased.  Well i just started doing complete everyday makeup last year (about late October).
When I bought this, I just relied on the stick color.  I didn't know na it would be better to read reviews and look for swatches first.  So now, I do some research before buying cosmetics **wink**

It has a slight shimmery finish and pinkish tone.  It's actually nice but 'm just not into glittery tone.

Nichido Rose Shimmer swatch

Pros:
- Applies smoothly
- inexpensive
- not drying
- good pigmentation
- available at your leading department stores

Cons:
- stick tends to soften easily, so it's kinda creamy but watery when applied to much
- no info on the ingredients
- can accentuate dryness
- some Nichodo lipsticks are said to darken lips in the long run

Will i re-purchase?
Nah, i have quite dark lips already so why risk it.  Although it's inexpensive, I'd rather get the expensive ones that won't ruin my lips.

Swatch: Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Off Beat Pink

After reading several reviews on pink lipsticks, this is what I first tried (besides the other lipsticks that I bought without reading reviews hehe).  It's from Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick series.  I'm just gonna post swatches of what I have since I dont have nice thin lips :)

The swatch is quite darker on the skin, but when applied to the lips, it is quite bright (o-oh, i'm very bad at describing colors).  I always apply my all-time favorite and reliable Vaseline Lip Therapy before applying any lipstick, this will help moisturize your lips.

Pros:
- has a pretty pink color (but I'm still opted to look for other pink lipstick)
- inexpensive (Php 145.00)
- has a good lasting power
- almost odorless, you'll just smell something when you sniff the stick itself

Cons:
- quite drying (but applying a lip balm will solve this)
- accentuates dry, chapped lips
- this color is not very pigmented

Will I re-purchase?
Not right now since it is not the pink that I am looking for.
